1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms,” “Terms of Service,” or “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of the G1 Practice Test Ontario website at g1practicetest.ca (the “Site”) and all related services, features, and content.

By accessing or using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.

2. Definitions

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

The Site is intended for individuals who are legally able to enter into binding contracts in their jurisdiction and who are preparing for a learner’s permit/driver’s licence knowledge test (e.g., Ontario G1). In Ontario, applicants must be at least 16 years old to take the G1 test.

If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you should use the Site under the supervision or with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3.2 Account Creation

To use some features (e.g., saving progress, tracking results), you may be required to create an Account. You agree to:

The Site provides educational tools designed to help users prepare for the Ontario G1 written knowledge test and similar Canadian learner’s permit exams.

Test simulations mimicking typical G1 exam structure (two sections of 20 questions each, with an 80% passing score requirement).
Study and review modes, with explanations and feedback where available

4.2 Service Availability

We aim to keep the Site available and functioning but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure operation. Availability may be affected by:

4.3 Fees

5. Use of the Site

5.1 Limited Licence

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Site and Content solely for personal, non-commercial learning and G1 test preparation.

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Site for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation
Copy, scrape, download in bulk, or create derivative works from the Content without our written consent
Use automated tools (bots, spiders, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Site
Attempt to bypass security controls or gain unauthorized access to systems or data
Upload or transmit malware, harmful code, or disruptive scripts
Interfere with another user’s experience or the Site’s functionality
Use the Site to send spam or unsolicited messages
Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including legal action and account termination.

6. Intellectual Property

All Content on the Site is owned by G1 Practice Test Ontario or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, or create derivative works from the Content except as expressly permitted in these Terms.

“G1 Practice Test Ontario,” our logos, and other brand elements are trademarks or trade dress and may not be used without our prior written consent.

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or other content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into our products and services without obligation to you.

7. No Government or MTO Affiliation

G1 Practice Test Ontario is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by:

The Government of Ontario
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO)
DriveTest Centres or their operators
Any federal or provincial government department or driver licensing authority

The official Ontario G1 test and licence program is administered under the authority of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, using the official MTO Driver’s Handbook as the primary study resource.

We are an independent educational website providing unofficial practice materials.

8. Educational Purpose and No Guarantee

All Content and Practice Tests are provided for educational and informational purposes only. While our questions are designed to reflect topics and formats similar to those in the official G1 exam (rules of the road and road signs drawn from the MTO Driver’s Handbook), we do not guarantee that:

Any particular question will appear on your official test
Our Content is complete, current, or error-free
Using our Site will ensure you pass the official G1 test on your first attempt

Your success depends on your independent study, understanding, and test-taking performance. You should always study the official MTO Driver’s Handbook and verify requirements with official sources.

9. No Professional or Legal Advice

11. Limitation of Liability

arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site, Content, or services, or your performance on any official driving test.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. For free-only use, this amount is typically CAD $0.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless G1 Practice Test Ontario and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

Your use or misuse of the Site or Content
Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
Your infringement of any third-party rights

This obligation will survive termination of these Terms and your use of the Site.

13. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with PIPEDA and CASL.
